Trivia

  1. This cocktail is named after Prince Albert Edward (1841-1910), son of Queen Victoria of England. The title of Prince of Wales is traditionally given to Britain's crown prince.

  2. The cocktail's creation is sometimes attributed to Prince Albert Edward himself. He was the first British Royal to visit North America and there's a possibility this drink came from one of those trips.

  3. Prince Albert Edward (also known as "Bertie", or "Dirty Bertie") garnered a reputation as a playboy. He frequented brothels and once requested that an entire bathtub be filled with Champagne.
