Trivia

  1. Created in 2007 by Phil Ward while working at Death & Co. in New York. Ward was right in the middle of the cocktail renaissance in the 2000s, which intertwined with the rising popularity of mezcal across the world.

  2. Mezcal originates in Oaxaca, a Mexican state. Its name derives from the náhuatl word mezcalli, which roughly translates to "cooked agave".
