  • 45ml Scotch whisky
  • 45ml amaretto

Instructions

  1. Add both ingredients into a mixing glass with ice.

  2. Stir until chilled.

  3. Strain into a rocks glass with ice.

Hints

  1. Depending on how you’re feeling at the moment, you can play around with the drink’s ratios. Another popular, albeit, much dryer version of this cocktail is to use 60ml / 2 oz of Scotch whisky and only 7.5ml / ¼ oz of amaretto.

  2. Many people enjoy swapping the Scotch whisky for bourbon (this cocktail is known as “The Boss”).

  3. Many other variants exist, each with a different name depending on the spirit: Godmother (vodka), French Connection (brandy), to name a few.

  4. Consider adding a few drops of bitters to increase the drink’s complexity.
