Ingredients

  • 60ml tequila blanco
  • 22.5ml grapefruit juice
  • 15ml lime juice
  • 15ml simple syrup
  • club soda, for topping off

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients, except for the club soda, into a shaker.

  2. Add ice and shake until chilled.

  3. Strain into a salt-rimmed Highball glass with ice.

  4. Top with club soda.

  5. Garnish with a grapefruit wedge.

Hints

  1. In order to push the agave flavor, you could use agave syrup instead of simple syrup. If you do so, scale it back to half or ¾ of the listed amount.

  2. You can add a barspoon of mezcal to push some smoky flavors into the mix.

  3. To make the salt rim, first place some salt on a flat plate. Take a wedge of lime and rub it along the outer side of the glass. Take the glass and roll it on the salt.
