Ingredients

  • 75ml dry vermouth(suggested: Dolin Dry)
  • 15ml Bénédictine
  • 7.5ml lemon juice
  • abinsthe, for the rinse

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients into a mixing glass with ice.

  2. Stir until chilled.

  3. Strain into an absinthe-rinsed coupe.

Hints

  1. For the rinse, simply add a small amount of absinthe into a coupe and swirl it around so it coats the glass. The original recipe calls for discarding the absinthe after the rinse, but you can keep it if you prefer.

  3. The Chrysanthemum plant, which features a beautiful flower, tends to symbolize friendship, happiness, and well-being. They're a popular fall flower and are often tied to the arrival of autumn.

  4. In Japanese culture the chrysanthemum symbolizes royalty, longevity and rejuvenation. Whereas in Chinese culture they symbolize happiness and vitality.
