  • 20ml Baileys Irish Cream
  • 20ml Grand Marnier
No. of Servings:
1

Garnish

None

Instructions

  1. Pour the coffee liqueur into a shot glass.

  2. Layer the Irish Cream.

  3. Layer the Grand Marnier.

Hints

  1. The B52 is not shaken, and is made by simply layering each ingredient on top of each other. It's a good idea to keep your ingredients refrigerated before making it.

  2. To help you keep each ingredient separated, place a barspoon on top of the last served layer and pour very gently on the spoon. A light touch and a bit of patience goes a long way. Pouring toppers help a lot!

Trivia

  1. The B52 was created in 1977 by Peter Fich, and its name is likely a nod to the new wave band The B-52s.

  2. The name of the band was due to the beehive-style hair style that two of the band members had during their first decade of existence.

  3. In turn, the name of the hair style was due to the resemblance to the nose cone of the B52 Bomber.
